My project is based on the packaging for poultry and other fresh birds, sold in specialty stores. For the most part, there is no packaging design other than the tray and shrinkwrap that a butcher puts on in the store. The poultry, after being shrink-wrapped, is then adorned with several maker's stickers as well as any additional information required by the store and regulatory bodies. I felt that there was a better way to advertise the poultry company than a few stickers. The result is shown here. The clear part is removable, with a microwaveable dish serving as the base. This entire piece would be shrink wrapped, to avoid any spoilage of the product inside. Not only does this box allow for individual shipping, but also displays the maker's logo as well as other required information. The box ensures against accidentally tearing of the wrapping, and resultant damage or spoilage of the product.
