The package I chose to redesign is a Soya Bean Sauce Bottle. My idea was to try and redesign the label from its oriental design, and design it so it can fit in with other American product designs. My problem was that this package can only be seen in any local Asian markets. Since there no Asian market around here, it is difficult for me to travel far away to buy myself one. I know that there are other types of soy sauce out there that can be found in a local Stop & Shop, but these soy sauces can't be compared to my favorite Soy Sauce made by Golden Mountain. For that reason I would like to come up with a design for their Company so it can be eligible for other markets instead of just Asian markets. I don't think this package has changed in 15 years, which is far back as I can remember it. Its design is too plain, the typography is not well organized, and the image is unclear. I think that Soy Sauce should stay with the bottle, because plastic is not good for this product and won't last as long as bottles. I don't plan on resizing the bottle because this is a good size that can last you about a month or so. I wanted to change the whole label and get away with the original design but somehow keep the brand value. I'm going to add extra quotes to help sell it better. I will change the image and try to make sense with it. I will keep the brand name and logo, so that consumers know it is the original, not a bootleg. My final objective is to come up with a design that would be eligible for any market located in America, so that those who love soy sauce and haven't tried this delicious soy sauce will have a chance to grab a hold of one.
